We are excited to announce the first Japanese tour for The Barking Dogs.
Three dates that will have them perform in mid-July in three different cities of the Rising Sun: Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka. The duo will bring a breath of fresh and energetic sound made in Italy to the Japanese crowd: the more fortunate of you will enjoy the show, as for the others… just wait for the reports!

So, who are Mushrooms Project and what they do?
Mushrooms Project are the kings of Slo Tempo and they do deep druggy chunky mid tempo burners, sometime more balearic, sometime just more freaky and during their very long, deep, mesmerizing dj sets make their Slo motion unique. Their name says it all: their music is hallucinating but wrapping up; it will seem that you dance at 130 bpm but you only do at 110 bpm… and that’s their trick!

Mushrooms Project are in the line up of Distorsioni Sonore, format event born in 2007 for supporting the protagonists of italian electronic music and multimedia arts.

After the two summer editions and a tour around italian clubs, DS comes now in its full version at Novellara (RE), Italy.

Distorsioni Sonore aims to be a meeting point for all the undreground music lovers and a festival dedicated to the artists that export italian good music all around the world.

Cristian Croce and Nicola Mazzetti are The Barking Dogs since 2006: two djs with different musical backgrounds and solid experiences. They run famous record shop in Milan “Serendeepity” and are known as party animals: their dj-sets spread the same energy and passion that they put in their musical research. Under their shop in the center of Milan they have a huge collection of vintage sinths and drum machines. They love this raw, dirty sound of the late 80ies. Big city grooves.

They had a few releases: in 2008 “Re-incantation”, a Balearic trip quickly sold-out in Europe, “The guitar man” “Hi-nrg” on Mad On The Moon.Their Rush hour single “Hit the ground/Fare una donna/Alibi” was quoted by 2ManyDjs, Horse Meat Disco, Trevor Jackson and many others. A nice Barking Dogs track was also part of last years “Italo Now Compilation” on Gomma Records.

We are happy to announce that the release number fifteen of the Italian label Mad on The Moon is out now exclusively on Beatport .

It is an EP of Holiday in Arabia’s tracks remixed by Simone Fedi, Crimea X (who recently released a remix for Bjorn Torske), The Heels Of Love and Billy Bogus.

Simone Fedi is one of the most forceful and competent Italian producers. He has recently published the hit single Bitter Devotion (with the powerful remix by Ewan Pearson), and having him again on board on MOM is for us a very special event: he was indeed the first ever remixer of the label.

Holiday In Arabia are an Italian duo who travels to very modern post-punk trajectories , working on guitars with effects, Rohdes masked by distortions and sharp vintage drum machines. The original tracks were released on the homonymous EP last year, of course on Mad On The Moon.
